Learn more about the benefit and key application of Buyer Intent: Buyer Intent Data (Overview)

There are two main aspects to Buyer Intent searches in Seamless.AI, selecting Intent Topics and conducting a Buyer Intent search.

Intent Topics: How to Choose, What it Does, and Why it Matters

Intent Search Page on Seamless.AI and available intent search filters

Buyer Intent on Seamless.AI is powered by Bombora and Intent Topics tell what the online content is all about. Intent Data refers to the digital footprints left by buyers as they are researching a potential purchase, navigating the web. It reveals when buyers are actively exploring solutions online and highlights the products or services they are interested in based on the content they engage with.

Get a Buyer Intent search started with selecting Intent Topics that reflect the goods, services, or themes offered by your company.

1. Navigate to the Intent Topics section of Buyer Intent, through the Buyer Intent icon on the left side panel.

2. Search for Intent Topics individually by categories, or by typing keywords or phrases that relate to the offerings of your company. Read a further description of the topic through the question mark icon.

Pro-Tip

When selecting Intent Topics we recommend thinking of the perspective of a customer, what topics or ideas would you search for when looking for your company. “If I were a customer in your space searching for your solution, what topics or keywords would I likely research to find the information I need?”

3. After selecting all topics, click Save Subscription. on the bottom right side of the page. Be aware that all Intent topics are locked in after confirmation of the below message. These Intent topics are locked in for the duration of the subscription!

Starting an Intent Search

After selecting and saving Intent Topics, start a Buyer Intent Search. Navigate to the Buyer Intent Search icon on the left side panel. Buyer Intent Search is similar to the process of conducting a Companies Search, but with the ability to apply Intent Topics and Minimum Match Strength

1. In the Intent Topics filter, select the topics to apply in the search.

Pro-Tip

We recommended selecting between 3-5 related intent topics. A single topic or low match strength may show a one-time anomaly, but intent in 3-5 similar areas provides a strong and reliable signal.

2. Adjust Min. Match Strength for search results. The Min. Match Strength relates to the number of topics a company matches on and gauges the strength of intent signals for a company based on selected topics.

Options include -

Very Strong

Strong

Medium (Set by default)

Weak

Very Weak

3. Create or set a list to maintain organization for the contacts and companies you save. This ensures a structured approach to managing valuable leads and information.

4. View Buyer Intent search results. Companies, by default, will be listed with highest intent signals to lowest.

Click into the Intent Signals column to preview a Comprehensive Topic Report. The report shows Aggregate Intent Score, average score of individual applied intent topics, and a score per Intent Topic.

The Delta Trend will reflect the weekly change in an individual intent topic score. Positive, green scores mean the company is showing more intent compared to last week. Negative, red scores mean the company is showing less intent compared to the previous week. A yellow, zero reflects no change.

5. Use Find or Find All to add companies to your My Companies page. Alternatively, click the Find Contacts button in the top right corner to search for key contacts at the companies showing intent.

Next Steps

Customize Search Results Display

With the Dynamic Layout update, you can now customize your Buyer Intent results layouts.
As default, 25 companies are displayed per page, however you can customize your display amounts. Click the results drop down to display, and research, 25, 50, or 100 contacts per page.

Customize the company profile information and order of columns displayed. Click the drop down arrow on each column to enable text wrapping and hide the column. Additionally, you can resize the column width by clicking and dragging the right edge of the column. This allows you to make each column the width to best support your workflow.

Further customize the table layout, and select the columns of profile information you want displayed. Simply check column(s) for display, and reorder by holding the six dots on the right hand side and dragging to desired order as needed. When finished, just make sure to Save.
