Getting started

The Seamless MCP integration allows you to access Seamless directly inside AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude.

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is a standardized way for AI tools and agents to connect with external platforms, data sources, and actions. In simple terms, MCP helps your AI assistant understand how to securely use Seamless to complete sales workflows on your behalf.

Instead of switching between Seamless and your AI workspace, you can use natural language prompts to search for companies, find contacts, enrich records, build lists, draft outreach, and support outbound workflows directly from your AI tool.

This turns Seamless into an AI-accessible sales workflow engine that can be called from the tools where your team already works.

Why This Matters

Seamless MCP helps users move from manual prospecting workflows to AI-assisted execution.

With Seamless MCP, you can:

  • Work directly inside AI tools: Search, enrich, and take action without switching between Seamless and tools like ChatGPT or Claude.
  • Use natural language to trigger Seamless actions:  Instead of clicking through multiple screens, you can ask your AI assistant to complete tasks such as finding companies, identifying decision-makers, or creating lists.
  • Speed up prospecting and outbound workflows: Build targeted lists, find contacts, enrich data, draft messaging, and launch campaigns from one conversation.
  • Power agent-based workflows: Seamless MCP is designed for modern AI automation, where AI agents can access Seamless data and actions as part of a larger workflow.
  • Connect Seamless with other tools: MCP can support workflows where Seamless data is used alongside other connected platforms, such as buyer intent tools, CRM systems, or outbound platforms.

What You Can Do With Seamless MCP

With Seamless MCP, you can use natural language prompts inside supported AI tools to complete key sales workflows, including prospecting, list building, enrichment, and outbound preparation.

Available actions may vary based on your Seamless plan, MCP configuration, connected AI tool, and user permissions.

Search for Companies and Contacts

Use Seamless MCP to find companies and contacts that match your target criteria.

You can search by industry, company size, location, employee count, job title, seniority, department, buying committee role, or other ICP criteria.

Example prompt: Find B2B SaaS companies in the United States with 100–500 employees. Then find VP-level sales contacts at each company and return the results in a table.

Build and Save Prospect Lists

Use Seamless MCP to create targeted prospect lists without leaving your AI tool.

You can ask your AI assistant to create a new Seamless list, save contacts or companies to an existing list, or organize prospects by campaign, segment, persona, or target account group.

Example prompt: Find 100 VP-level sales leaders at B2B SaaS companies with 100–500 employees and save them to a list called “SaaS Sales Leaders.”

Enrich Contact and Company Data

Use Seamless MCP to research and enrich contact or company records directly inside your AI workflow.

You can ask your AI assistant to find verified emails, direct dials or mobile numbers where available, company details, LinkedIn URLs, and other enrichment data.

Example prompt: Find the VP of Sales and Head of Marketing at the companies in this list. Include name, title, company, email, phone number, and LinkedIn URL where available.

Prepare Outbound Messaging

Use Seamless MCP to help turn prospect data into outreach-ready messaging.

You can ask your AI assistant to draft email copy, create follow-up steps, personalize messaging, or prepare campaign ideas based on contact and company details.

Example prompt: Create a 3-step outbound email campaign for these contacts focused on improving pipeline visibility. Keep the tone concise and relevant to sales leaders.

Support AI-Assisted Sales Workflows

Use Seamless MCP as part of a larger AI workflow that helps move from research to action.

For example, you can ask your AI assistant to research target accounts, find contacts, enrich records, save prospects to Seamless lists, and prepare next steps for sales or marketing follow-up.

Example prompt: Review these target accounts, find sales, marketing, and revenue leaders at each company, save them to a Seamless list, and prepare a personalized outbound campaign for review.

How Seamless MCP Works

Once connected, Seamless MCP allows your AI assistant to securely interact with supported Seamless actions from inside your AI workspace.

A typical workflow looks like this:

  1. You enter a natural language prompt.
Example: “Find VP-level marketing contacts at B2B SaaS companies with 100–500 employees.”
  2. Your AI assistant determines which Seamless action is needed.
  3. Seamless MCP searches, enriches, saves, or organizes records based on your request.
  4. Results are returned directly inside your AI tool, where you can review contacts, companies, tables, or next-step recommendations.
  5. You can continue the workflow by asking the assistant to save records, create lists, draft outreach, or prepare campaigns where supported.

Example Workflow

Here is an example of a Seamless MCP workflow:

  1. Ask your AI assistant to find mid-market B2B companies with 50–500 employees.
  2. Ask it to find key decision-makers at those companies.
  3. Save the contacts to a Seamless list called “Pipeline Visibility Prospects.”
  4. Ask the assistant to prepare a 3-step outbound campaign for review.

This allows you to move from account research to contact discovery to outreach preparation in one AI-assisted workflow.

Setting up your Seamless MCP

Setup Overview

The exact setup process may vary depending on the AI tool you are using, but most Seamless MCP connections follow the same general flow.

Before getting started, make sure you have:

  • A Seamless account with access and permissions to create and manage MCP or API connections
  • Access to a supported AI tool, such as ChatGPT, Claude, or another MCP-compatible platform

For more detailed API setup information, including how to manage API connections, Persistent API Keys, authentication, credits, and rate limits, review the Seamless API Overview article.

How to Connect Seamless MCP

Step 1: Confirm Access

Confirm that your Seamless account has access to the required MCP or API connection settings.

If you do not see the required settings, contact your Seamless account owner, admin, or Seamless Support.

Step 2: Create or Locate Your Connection Credentials

In Seamless, go to your company settings and locate the API page.

Depending on your setup, you may need to create a new connection credential, use an existing credential, or use connection details provided by Seamless.

Use a clear name for the connection, such as:

  • ChatGPT MCP
  • Claude MCP
  • Seamless MCP

Store your credentials securely and do not share them in public or unsecured channels.

Step 3: Add Seamless to Your AI Tool

In your supported AI tool, open the area for apps, connectors, integrations, or MCP servers.

Add Seamless as a new MCP connection using the connection details provided by Seamless.

Depending on the tool, you may need to enter:

  • Connection name
  • Seamless MCP server URL
  • Authentication credentials
  • Workspace approval settings
  • User or admin permissions

Save and enable the connection.

Step 4: Review Available Actions

Review which Seamless actions are enabled for your MCP connection.

Depending on your configuration, this may include searching contacts, searching companies, enriching records, returning results in the AI conversation, creating or updating lists, or preparing outbound workflows.

Only enable the actions your team needs.

Step 5: Test the Connection

Start with a small test prompt before running a larger workflow.

Example test prompts:

  • What Seamless actions can you access?
  • Use Seamless to find 5 B2B SaaS companies in the United States with 50–500 employees.
  • Find 5 VP-level sales contacts at software companies and return the results in a table.
  • Create a Seamless list called “MCP Test List.”

If the test works, you can continue with larger prospecting, enrichment, list-building, or outbound workflows.

Best Practices

To get better results from Seamless MCP, use clear and specific prompts.

Include details such as:

  • Target industry
  • Company size
  • Geography
  • Job titles
  • Seniority
  • Department
  • Number of contacts or companies needed
  • List name
  • Whether results should be returned, saved, enriched, or prepared for outreach

Strong prompt example: Find 100 VP-level sales and marketing leaders at B2B SaaS companies in the United States with 50–500 employees. Save the contacts to a list called “SaaS Pipeline Visibility Prospects” and prepare a 3-step outbound email campaign focused on improving pipeline visibility.
