Learn step-by-step how to troubleshoot common Seamless.AI Chrome extension issues: Uninstalling the extension, reinstalling, clearing your cache and more.
In this article, We will discuss common troubleshooting methods in order to get you back up and running while utilizing our Chrome extension!
With recent updates to the Seamless.AI Chrome Extension, you may need to refresh your page to access the Seamless.AI side panel. Simply refresh or close down and reopen the page you want to prospect on. You should see the Seamless.AI icon on the right hand side. When you open the side panel view with the icon, you will be able to access the Find, Find All, and Next buttons to conduct your prospecting right in the Chrome Extension.
Please follow the steps below in order to resolve the more common issues that the Extension can experience from time to time:
- Uninstall the Extension
- Google Chrome Cache Clear
- Reinstall the Extension
- Pin Extension
- Re-login on the Extension side panel
- Double check third party cookies setting
- Ensure that your Operating System as well as Chrome Browser is fully up to date
Uninstall the Extension
This can be completed by clicking the Puzzle piece icon in the top right corner of your Chrome Extension followed by the three dot's icon next to the Seamless.AI Extension. From here, Click "Remove from Chrome" followed by "Remove".
Google Chrome Cache Clear
Right click anywhere on your Chrome page and click the "Inspect" option. After the inspect window opens, left click and hold on the refresh button for a menu to pop up where you can click "Empty Cache and Hard Reload".
Reinstall Extension
This can be completed by clicking the Add to Chrome Button on the attached page.
Pin Extension
You can pin the extension for visibility into additional issues and to add value to Screenshots for the Support team.
Click the Puzzle piece icon in the top right corner followed by enabling the pin icon.
Re-login on the Extension Flyout
Click into the Flyout by utilizing the Blue Seamless ribbon on the right side of your screen or the Pinned Seamless Icon in the top right corner of the page.
Click the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the newly expanded flyout followed by the Logout button, then proceed to log back in with the your standard process (through manual credentials or the SSO links of Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Okta)
Double check third party cookies setting
First ensure it is set to either Allow all cookies or Block third party cookies in incognito mode).
This is accessed through Chrome settings> Security and Privacy> Cookies and Other site data
Ensure that your Operating System as well as Chrome Browser is fully up to date.
