Getting Started

Credit Back Protection: Get Instant Credits Back for Invalid Emails

At Seamless, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, accurate contact data you can trust. To back that up, we’re launching our Credit Back Protection that is designed to protect your credits and help you prospect with confidence.

With this program, if an email address is detected as invalid through Seamless’s verification process, the credits used for that email will automatically be refunded back to your account.

Overview

The Credit Back Protection  ensures that if Seamless detects an invalid email address, you’ll automatically receive the credits back, so you can reuse them to research new contacts.

  • No forms
  • No support tickets
  • No waiting

How It Works

When you research contacts using Seamless, our system runs a virtual email verification to confirm that an email address can receive messages. This verification simulates an email sent by pinging the recipient’s mail server to check whether the mailbox exists and is able to receive mail.

If the server confirms the email address is invalid, Seamless will:

  • Flag the email as invalid
  • Refund the credits used for that contact
  • Add those credits back to your account balance automatically

What Counts as an “Invalid Email”?

An invalid email is an email address that fails Seamless’s verification because the receiving server confirms the address:

  • Does not exist, or
  • Is disabled, or
  • Cannot receive mail

What’s Not Covered

The Credit Back Protection does not apply to:

  • Temporary / soft bounces (ex: full inbox, spam rejection, temporary server issues)
  • Role-based / group emails (ex: info@, sales@, support@)
  • Emails that were valid when verified but later become inactive due to external mail server changes

Refund Process (Automatic)

Refunds happen automatically! There’s nothing you need to do.

Important notes:

  • Refunded credits return to your account balance for future use
  • Credits are not redeemable for cash
  • Credits cannot be transferred to another account

Protection Limitations

The Credit Back Protection applies only to:

  • Email data verified and provided by Seamless

It does not cover:

  • Phone numbers
  • Company data
  • Other non-email information

Seamless also reserves the right to investigate and limit refunds in cases of abuse or unusual activity.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Credit Back Protection? - It’s a feature that helps protect your credits. If Seamless finds an email is invalid during its check, we may give the credits back to your account so you can use them again.

How does it work? - When you look up a contact, Seamless does a quick check to see if the email address can receive email right now.
If the check says the email is invalid, Seamless may:

  • Mark the email as invalid, and/or
  • Add the credits back to your account automatically (when eligible)

Do I need to fill out a form or contact support? - Nope. There are no forms and no support tickets needed. If you qualify, it happens automatically.

What counts as an “invalid email”? - An invalid email is one that the email server says:

  • Doesn’t exist, or
  • Is turned off, or
  • Can’t receive email

What does “point-in-time” mean? - It means the email check is only true at that moment. An email can work today and stop working later (or the other way around). Seamless is not promising it will work forever.

What is NOT covered? - Credit Back Protection does not apply to:

  • Temporary problems (like a full inbox or a server being down)
  • Group emails like info@, sales@, or support@
  • Emails that were valid during the check, but later stop working because something changed outside Seamless

Also, this program does not cover:

  • Phone numbers
  • Company data
  • Other non-email info

Will I get credits back for phone numbers or company info? - No. This program is only for email addresses that Seamless verifies.

When do I get the credits back? - If your email qualifies, the credits are added back to your account automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

Can I turn credits into cash? - No. Credits:

  • Are not cash
  • Cannot be paid out as money
  • Cannot be moved to another account
    • They are only for using inside your Seamless account.

Does this mean Seamless guarantees every email will deliver? - No. This is a quick check at the time you research the contact. Seamless does not guarantee deliverability, inbox placement, or response rates.
