Jacob (Jake) Groot immigrated from the Netherlands to America soon after WWII and within a year was working in the building industry. He soon struck out on his own and over the next 40+ years he became one of the most successful and respected home builders, brokers and Realtors® in the West Michigan area. He built hundreds of homes, was a master of understanding client needs, skilled at building homes with excellence, well versed in buying, selling and trading homes, and a consummate networker and relationship builder. It is in that tradition the Groot Realty Company continues to serve clients all over the West Michigan area.

Robert Groot began working with Jake in 1975 and today with his brother Jack and son-in-law Matt continue the real estate tradition.
